Ballet Freaks-How I Got into the Academy of Ballet

Another critique was speaking about the teaching process in Academy of Ballet. Frankly could not agree more with that critic as indeed one of the greatest parts about this ballet academy is the warm, friendly setting that's nurture here. As a young student, not once did I sense scolded or harassed Åpen Skole by an educator (who, incidentally is a former top-level rival ). This has been an academy since 1977 and through my seven years as a pupil there were hardly any incidents of this nature. The other positive thing about this area is the fact that many levels of dancers have been all catered for here, which is another thing I love about it.

I was asked to write a review and discuss my thoughts about Zorya's ballet class. Initially I was reluctant to do so but I understood that when she had been a fantastic instructor then this could be a favourable review. In the end, it was a personal encounter and I thought it would be unfair to not place it in the open. So I started thinking about my expertise in the course and how I liked the teacher.

Zorya brought up the title of her late dad repeatedly after teaching at the academy and she explained that this is something he constantly encouraged her to perform. I had been shot by his passion for his passion for helping young dancers develop their skills. When I had been taking courses at the academy under his tutelage, he was come in my ballet class just after I had set out on my very first dance lesson also spent several weeks with me. This proved to be a very unique touch. In addition, he worked in his classroom and invited me to take my studies seriously.

It was evident from the manner Zorya talked of her parents, both of whom she had never met, which they had been proud of her. They were both warm encouraging and helpful and offered plenty of support within my first couple of years in the academy. I liked spending some time together and talking to them in my dancing life and their family experiences. These new buddies made an immediate impact on me as I had not met any before in my dance courses. They mixed an engaging kind of teaching with an extremely caring attitude. These two qualities are quite a blessing and I am so thankful that Zorya along with her parents did the academy a terrific service by giving me such fabulous new friends to spend some time with!

Another facet of Zorya's personality, which I found very inspiring was her enthusiasm for the art form. The academy is well suited to providing opportunities for young girls to develop their abilities and strategies. My expertise as a ballet student has taught me that the real key to learning is having fun and enjoying teaching as far as doing. What I discovered in her program for a teaching credential was that she'd written a narrative citation required to apply for a teaching position at the academy. This storyline citation contained her love of dance along with her desire to teach dancing. It was wonderful to read and extremely descriptive of her nature and dancing. I found myself genuinely inspired by her story and her passion for dancing. It made me think otherwise about dancers in general.

I also found it very inspiring to see that the academy provides courses for all skill levels. I was blown away with this because, quite honestly, I have always felt somewhat intimidated by dancing courses. I would have loved to be aware there was a way to advance from a beginner dancer to a beginner and then up the ladder into the level of professional dancers. It's also pleasant to find that the academy encourages its dancers to feel and act like professionals in their chosen area. In fact, the only condition to join the academy is really a dance audition and a finished dance poll. No prior experience is necessary to register!

In the long run, I am quite pleased to be a part of this revolutionary establishment and I look forward to every class and every performance opportunity provided to me personally as a dance artist at the Academy of Ballet in New York.
