Ballet Freaks-How I Got Accepted into the Academy of Ballet
Another critique was speaking about the teaching process at Academy of Ballet. Frankly couldn't agree more with this particular critic as indeed among the best parts about this ballet academy is the warm, friendly atmosphere that is foster here. As a young pupil, never once did I feel scolded or verbally harassed by an educator (who, by the way is a former leading rival ). This was an academy because 1977 and during my seven years as a pupil there were very few incidents of this kind. Another positive thing about the location is the simple fact that many levels of dancers are catered for here, which is another thing that I love about doing it.
I had been requested to compose a review and discuss my ideas about Zorya's ballet class. At first I was reluctant to do so but I understood that if she had been a fantastic instructor then this could be a favourable inspection. After all, it was a personal experience and that I believed it'd be unfair to not place it in the open. So I started thinking about my experience in the course and the way I liked the instructor.
Zorya brought up the name of her late dad repeatedly after teaching at the academy and she clarified that this was something he constantly encouraged her to do. I was taken by his enthusiasm for ballet and his enthusiasm for helping young dancers develop their abilities. When I was taking courses in the academy under his tutelage, he used to come in my ballet class just after I had set out in my very first dance lesson and spent a few Ă…pen Skole weeks . This proved to be a very unique touch. He also worked in his classroom and encouraged me to take my studies seriously.
It was evident from the way Zorya spoke of her parents, both of whom she had never fulfilled, they were proud of her. They were both warm encouraging and helpful and offered plenty of support through my first couple of years in the academy. I liked spending time together and chatting to them about my dancing life and their family experiences. These new friends made a direct impact on me since I had not met any earlier in my dance classes. They blended an engaging kind of teaching with an extremely caring attitude. These two qualities are quite a blessing and I am so thankful that Zorya and her parents did exactly the academy a great service by providing me fabulous new friends to spend some time with!
Another part of Zorya's personality, that I found very inspiring was her enthusiasm for the art form. The academy is well suited to providing opportunities for young dancers to develop their skills and strategies. My experience as a ballet student has instructed me that the trick to learning is having fun and enjoying teaching as much as doing. Zorya's reassuring words as she invited me to try out different kinds of teaching and also the exciting manner in which she invited me to try different teaching styles made it obvious to me that she adored her job and loved being an instructor.
What I found in her program for a teaching credential was that she'd composed a narrative citation required to make an application for a teaching position in the academy. This story citation contained her love of dance along with her desire to teach dance. It was wonderful to read and extremely descriptive of her personality and dance. I found myself really inspired by her story and her passion for dance. It made me think otherwise about dancers in general.
I also found it quite inspiring to see the academy provides courses for all skill levels. I was dismissed with this since, quite honestly, I have always felt somewhat intimidated by dancing courses. I would have loved to be aware there was a way to advance from a beginner dancer to a newcomer and then the ladder up into the level of professional dancers. It is also nice to see that the academy motivates its own listeners to feel and act like professionals within their chosen area. In actuality, the only need to join the academy is that a dance and a completed dance questionnaire. No prior experience is required to register!
In the end, I am rather proud to be part of the innovative institution and I look forward to each course and each performance opportunity offered to me as a dance artist in the Academy of Ballet in New York. Should you believe you have what it takes to be successful in dance, don't hesitate to use to the Academy of Ballet in New York and request my interview. You never know what kind of results you could receive from your persistence. You might just be another academy graduate on the walk of fame.
